It is often overwhelming to consider renovating part of your garden. You know you need to change things but you just don’t know how to get started. This morning class aims to give you the confidence to do it yourself. Clearing a space and planning a new area, taking advantage of the existing hard landscaping be it a wall or a path and completely changing the planting and colours. We’ll spend some time in the nursery helping each student identify exactly what will suit their own garden.
Students will then create individual borders in a gravel outdoor space. This physical exercise will enable students to learn to appreciate the scope of their task, the actual and eventual size of plants, the number required and the overall look when completed. We will pay particular attention to plant, colour and texture combinations along with seasonal interest.
As on all our courses a little background preparation is essential. Students will be requested to bring A4 size printed photographs of their existing gardens and areas of concern to facilitate a more personal experience.
This workshop will be run outdoors, we will spend some time in a covered and sheltered outdoor space but we will be walking through the outdoor display. We strongly recommend weather appropriate clothing and shoes as the workshop will run regardless of the weather.
Refreshments will be provided.
Rémy Jaggi have kindly offered a 10% reduction on all plants to participants on the morning of the course.
