Pruning has got to be one of the most intimidating of all garden essentials. Let us help demystify this necessary task. If every year you contemplate your shrubs, trees and roses; consult the dusty books and then decide that the shrubs can wait another season or perhaps you “nibble” with a secatures not wanting to do too much damage. We can help you out.
This course aims to help you identify what you have in your garden, what needs to be pruned when and what implements you should do it with. An essential skill in the world of gardening. General maintenance and pruning of shrubs and climbers such as Buddleja, Wisteria, Hydrangea, Roses and Cornus (dogwood) will be covered, as well as restorative pruning for overgrown shrubs you wish to renovate.
We are delighted to announce that this course continues to be sponsored by the Swiss company FELCO, the world-leading manufacturer of professional pruning shears and cable cutters since 1945. FELCO
As on all our courses a little background preparation is essential. Students will be required to bring A4 size printed photographs of their existing gardens to include plants that give them difficulty. If possible take photos of them now while still in leaf and then again just before the master class when the leaves will have fallen.
This master class will be held indoors.
Refreshments will be provided.
